Job Description
1. Your place of work will strictly be in the dispensary;you will only use the consulting room whenever you have a patient requiring privacy.
2.Ensure general and optimal cleanliness of the dispensary.Supervise Pharmacy assistants to ensure proper shelving and merchandising of all items of stocks.
3.Ensure needed items are requested for real-time,and follow up until supply is made from the inventory department/distribution centre.
4.Ensure that controlled drugs and poisons’ register of the pharmacy are properly kept and updated timely.(Real-time).
5.Patients’ consultation,prescription review and dispensing.
6.Drug information and counseling.
7.Product expiration control and mitigation.
8.Regularly train pharmacy assistants to refresh their basic product knowledge.
9.Ensure all patients are properly counseled and all medications leaving the pharmacy are properly labelled.
10.Drive the customer management process to ensure all customers are satisfied.
11.Attend to all patients/customers and dispense appropriate medicines as necessary.
12.Initiate and drive the process of collecting data of customers/patients who visit the pharmacy.
13.Ensure timely resolution of all customers/patients’ complaints.
14.Supervise the proper management of telephone usage within the pharmacy and premises in concert with operations to ensure proper customer service.
15.Ensure all financial and strategic targets are met.
16.Lead the process of competitive environmental scanning by keeping tabs on the activities of competing businesses with a view to staying ahead of competition.
17.Drive the process of periodic stock taking and resolving all discrepancies thereof.
18.Supervise the prompt disposal of all wastes generated in the pharmacy.
19.Design and execute health awareness campaigns and outreaches that would help drive the practice/business of the pharmacy.
20.Attend the company weekly management meetings detailing reports of events of previous week.
21.Any other duty that may be assigned to you in the course of your work by the management.
