About AXIAS Pharmacy
Most people in rural Africa rely on PPMVs and chemists as their first—and often only—point of care. The problem? These providers are under-equipped, under-trained, and under-regulated. The result: poor care, worsening health outcomes, and cycles of poverty that never end.

We’re fixing that.

AXIAS is building a network of Next-Gen Pharmacies in rural communities across Africa—designed to be the first point of quality primary healthcare for 100 million underserved Nigerians. Powered by technology, we deliver safe, smart, patient-first care in places most health systems overlook.
We are championing a “Pharmacy-first care model” in African rural communities.

Why This Matters
In Nigeria, there are just 4 doctors for every 10,000 people. Each functional primary healthcare clinic is stretched thin, serving over 5,200 people. For the 100 million Nigerians living in rural areas, this means long journeys to reach care, overcrowded hospitals, and worsening health outcomes.
But there’s a bright spot: pharmacies. Over 3 million Nigerians walk into a pharmacy every single day. It’s already where most people go first when they’re sick—especially in rural communities.
At AXIAS, we believe pharmacies are more than a place to “count 1, take 2.” They’re the most underutilized weapon in the fight for health equity—and we’re unlocking their full potential.

Pharmacies are the future of accessible primary health care. And we’re betting on pharmacists like you to lead that future—from transactional dispensing to transformational, tech-enabled care.

The Role
We’re hiring our founding Community Pharmacist to lead the launch of our first outlet in Ayetoro, Ogun State. You’ll work directly with the founder and a small team to run the pharmacy end-to-end—think operations, procurement, inventory management, consults and
patient engagement.

This role is for someone who’s not just looking for a job—but a mission.
If you’re passionate about health equity, curious about digital health, and excited to work on something that actually matters, read on.

What You’ll Be Doing
1. Own day-to-day pharmacy operations, from drug procurement to dispensing
2. Build a high-trust, patient-first experience that keeps people coming back
3. Lead inventory management and ensure regulatory compliance
4. Collaborate on data collection for research and public health impact
5. Support the design and testing of tech-enabled care models

You Should Apply If…
1. You’re a licensed pharmacist with 1–2 years of experience in community practice
2. You’re hungry to learn, grow, and challenge the status quo
3. You care deeply about health equity and underserved communities
4. You’re excited about healthcare innovation but don’t want to write code
5. You’re not sure what pharmacy path you want to specialize in—but you want to explore
6.You’re willing to live in a rural community (we provide accommodation)
