Superintendent Pharmacist

Job Description

1. Ensure that the pharmacy operates in accordance with national and local regulations and pharmacy guidelines.

2. Oversee the pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff. Manage staffing levels, training, and performance evaluations.

3. Ensure the efficient operation of the pharmacy, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.

4. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure that the pharmacy provides safe and effective medication management.

5. Lead and develop clinical services, including medication reviews, first aid services, chronic disease management, and patient counselling.

6. Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication therapy management.

7. Assist in developing and managing the pharmacy budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

8. Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to enhance safety, efficiency, and service quality.

9. Foster relationships with patients and the community to promote health awareness and support medication adherence.

10. Stay updated with new developments in pharmaceuticals, including new drugs and treatment protocols, through personal education and by facilitating staff training.
