Full-Time Pharmacist

Job Description

The full-time Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient care, ensuring medication safety, and offering medication-related advice to patients and healthcare professionals. They collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize drug therapy and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
– Dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner.
– Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure appropriateness and safety.
– Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, possible side effects, and drug interactions.
– Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) reviews and assess patient medication regimens.
– Provide immunizations and health screenings as appropriate.
– Monitor patient outcomes and contribute to the development of care plans.
– Stay informed about new medications, treatments, and pharmacy regulations.
– Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication inventories.
– Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding pharmaceuticals.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
